The annual Polar Plunge took place in February on the Ball State Campus. The Polar Plunge benefits Special Olympics Indiana. Members from Lodge 87 raised over $800 dollars for the cause. Members took the icy plunge in uniform and had a great time. Members were able to meet some of the Special Olympic Athletes, which made the event even better.

SHOP WITH A COP 2021

2021 Annual Shop with a Cop event occurred before Christmas this year at Walmart South. Members from the Muncie Police Department, along with officers from other agencies in the area walked around with approximately 160 children. The officers were given $100 for each child to spend on somethings they wanted for Christmas. This is event was made possible with help from Crime Stoppers.

2021 National Fraternal Order of Police Conference Indianapolis

The 2021 Fraternal Order of Police National Conference was hosted in Indianapolis in August 2021. President Qualls, Secretary Vannatta, Treasurer Rehfus, and Executive board members Pierce and Rastakhiz attended the conference representing lodge 87. The week had great speakers, and events including dyeing the canal blue, making the book of world records for the largest human blue line, and a special event honoring fallen officers, and their families.
